Our Good Neighbor Policy

Posted on 7/2/2000 by AIRR Admin in AIRR Articles

Since the end of the 1980’s an area of vegetation larger than the size of France has already vanished in the Amazon due to fires or chain saws. This loss is so great because there is no other place on earth with such a vast variety of plant, bird, fish and insect species.

Take randomly any area of the Brazilian tropical rain forest, for example an area that one could cross on foot in a few hours, it will have a larger diversity of plants than the whole continent of Europe.

As we entered into the new century, the Amazon was being transformed by the deforestation, mining, and generalized exploitation of its natural resources. All this destruction is taking place in a region considered to be the greatest celebration of diversity of the planet.

As Smokey the Bear says, "Only you can prevent forest fires." We at A.I.R.R. want to thank you for your support in purchasing land in the rainforest and also wish to welcome you to our neighborhood.

By purchasing one acre of land, you can save approximately 100 trees, 4000 flowers, 100 birds, and dozens of animals, reptiles, insects and fish. All this for only $35.00.

Look for our list of new neighbors and remember, you can always purchase more land, animals, plants, and trees through A.I.R.R. at any time.
